Import contacts into CRM Software from a spreadsheet
You can easily Import your Customers or Contacts from a CSV file or Spreadsheet into Amphis Customer CRM Software.
Here is an example file of Customer Records to Import. You can just have a First Name or Last Name or Company Name or you can Import the address, email, telephone numbers, fax number, web site etc.
Note that the Customer Id field is blank. This means that Amphis Customer CRM Software will Create a New Customer Record and allocate a new Customer Id.
Import Customers From a Spreadsheet
To Import the Customers, select the Customer->Import Customers From Spreadsheet menu and follow the instructions.
You will need to Browse to the file that contains the Customer Records. At the bottom right of the dialog box, select Excel Spreadsheet or CSV file depending on whether your file is a .xls or .xlsx or .csv file.
If it is an Excel Spreadsheet, make a note of the Tab name at the bottom left of the Spreadsheet. This defaults to Sheet1 if you haven't changed it.
It doesn't matter what column names you have used in the Customer Spreadsheet, you can select which Customer Spreadsheet columns map to the CRM Database fields. You can also map any additional columns in your spreadsheet to Custom fields in Amphis Customer CRM Software so that they appear on the Custom tab.
If you want to Edit an existing Customer Record, you can include the existing Customer Id in the Spreadsheet like this.When Imported, this spreadsheet will update the existing records with those Customer Ids (if they exist) or else it will create new Customer Records with those Customer Ids.
